She edited a collection of Nelson Mandela's articles and speeches entitled \u003ci\u003eNo Easy Walk to Freedom\u003c\/i\u003e. On August 17th, 1982, Ruth First was killed by a letter-bomb sent to her by the South African security police. \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cb\u003eAngela Davis\u003c\/b\u003e is Professor Emerita of History of Consciousness and Feminist Studies at the University of California Santa Cruz. She is the author of eight books.
