2131: The Edge of Hope - Paperback

by B. E. Smith (Author)

In 2131, scientists discover a vast metallic asteroid locked in a collision course with Earth- an extinction-level threat no existing technology can stop in time. With only seven years before impact, humanity faces an unforgiving countdown.

As a last, desperate gamble, a secret research consortium launches the HERB Project: a mission to send one specialist into the past to rewrite the future.

Bruce Hayden arrives in America in 1981 posing as an ordinary university student while carrying extraordinary knowledge from the 22nd century. Working quietly and carefully, he must influence skeptical scientists, accelerate the growth of modern technology, and search for the asteroid in its earlier orbit before history seals humanity's fate.

But altering the timeline proves more dangerous than Bruce imagined. Each breakthrough reshapes history in unpredictable ways, and even success may not be enough to prevent catastrophe.

From the observatories of Hawaii to the laboratories of the 1980s, Bruce races to complete an impossible assignment- knowing that if he fails, there will be no tomorrow.

Can one man change the past in time to save humanity?
