San Francisco Book Review - 4.5 Stars
"It's rare for a Christmas story and a Western to intersect, but they collide beautifully in Wade Chitwood's A Cowboy Christmas Carol: Tales of Buckshot Bill and Cactus Jack, a clever Western reimagining of the Dickens classic. This is a book to share with the whole family."

Author Kelly Young says:
"What a delightful holiday story. Chitwood's style is easy and nostalgic, bringing to mind the humor of Jean Shepherd."

In the sun-baked Arizona desert, where the cactus stands tall and the horizon stretches farther than a man's eye can see, two old cowboys, Buckshot Bill and Cactus Jack, set off on a Christmas journey they ain't soon to forget. These two have seen more winters than they'd care to count, but this year, they'll be facing unexpected twists, confronting a few ghosts, and maybe even finding a bit of that old Christmas magic along the way.

Tales of Buckshot Bill and Cactus Jack: A Cowboy Christmas Carol is a rootin'-tootin' adventure through the grit and wonder of the Old West. It's a yarn of true friends riding through thick and thin, their camaraderie like the spirit of Christmas, shining bright even in the toughest of times. Pull on your boots and saddle up, this tale's sure to rustle up a smile for the whole family. Rounds up twenty-five original illustrations that vividly bring the story to life.
