She recounts a life at times escalating into violence, lending to remorse and regret. When she was first diagnosed with the illness, it was emphasized that this was an illness she would have to live with for the rest of her life. As of today, the author has no signs of schizophrenia or depression. She refers to her condition, by the help and grace of God, as being well and in remission.
