Creepy Classics: Medieval Ghost Stories - Paperback

by Juliette Harrisson (Author)

A ghastly ghoul confronts Queen Guinevere, and a sinister old woman threatens Robin Hood. Irish King Mongán is keeping a great secret, and the villagers of Northern England are battling strange spectres and unjust landlords. Meanwhile in Norway, poor Thorstein Thorkelsson just wants to do his business in the outhouse undisturbed, but it is not his lucky night.

This collection of ten short stories will take you on a journey through one thousand years of Medieval history, from Italy in the shadow of the Ancient Romans, through the kingdoms of Ireland, Iceland, and Norway, to the great myths and legends of Britain. From the Queen of Camelot to the serfs living under the thumb of the lords of the manor, no one is safe from the tortured souls that roam their lands, looking for absolution.
