Cross to Bear - Hardcover

by Clay E. Novak (Author)

After months of keeping a low profile, combat veteran Terry Davis resurfaces in Chicago. Looking over both shoulders, Terry braves the wintry streets to reconnect with lifelong friends and family. He learns quickly that his hometown has been overrun with gang violence. Partnering with childhood friends who are now police officers, Terry can't help but lend a hand.

When the gangs start to look more like hired guns and ex-military, Terry's instincts, honed over years of combat, tell him something bigger is happening. When violence arrives on their doorstep, he does what he does best... he becomes the Soldier from his past and brings the fight to the enemy.

Voices from the past emerge. This isn't a new threat. The shadowy organization he took on in Tampa reveals itself once again, and this time they are here to take over the city. In a fight that spans from the quiet suburbs to the shore of Lake Michigan, Terry Davis will once again sacrifice everything, including himself, to protect the ones he loves the most. That is his Cross To Bear.
