A thought-provoking suspense thriller that moves quickly from the first pages to the conclusion. Tess and her husband Deane's romantic tension turns into a vacuum as she follows his strong insistence to take a shopping day in lower Manhattan, but then disappears out of sight for a mysterious two years.
The enigma comes alive as Tess finds herself wandering alone in the Fifth Avenue shopping district. A dark two-year time gap has passed without her knowledge or recollection of her identity, events, or places.
Detective Mitchell of NYPD takes the cold case, uncovering the lives of Tess, Deane, and others in and out of their circles. As Mitchell uncovers the mystery, he discovers a trail of unsettling crimes that changed both Tess and Deane's lives and that continue to intimidate and threaten Tess to the end.
