Handmaking My House and Building My Life - Paperback
Details
by Jeanne Drevas (Author)
In the early 1970s Jeanne Drevas, fresh off a sculpture degree, entered the Rappahannock County forest near the Hazel River and hand cobbled a home for herself. Made from the lumber of the condemned Amissville Garage she bought for a dollar, and ten locust trees she cut down on her property, the house that Jeanne built became her home. While creating curvilinear wonders throughout her pole built house, Jeanne built her life in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Herein lies how and why she did it.
