Just A Grocer's Son - Paperback

by Daniel L. Jr. Frizzi (Author)

Just a Grocer's Son: A Century of Family, Community, and a Neighborhood Grocery is a story of a grocer and his sons growing up in a small neighborhood grocery store in Bellaire, Ohio. This story spans a century of vivid remembrances of family, loyal customers, and everyday work. Daniel L. Frizzi Jr. brings to life a world shaped by sacrifice, laughter, and quiet lessons taught by life in a small neighborhood grocery store begun by his Italian grandfather, continued by his own father, before he also stepped behind the counter. One delivery, one conversation, and one long day at a time, life in the grocery store comes alive. At the heart of this memoir is a proud Italian-American family whose store became both a gathering place for neighbors, a classroom for character, and a small business that survived for a century.
