Details
by Laurence A. Frame (Author)
A true life somewhat fictional memoir of a young western Pennsylvania educator who studied anthropology at the University of Arizona. He subsequently traveled to the Micronesian Islands of Guam, Saipan, Truk, and Palau, and followed by the Melanesian island of New Guinea. There are dangerous life experiences not only in New Guinea, but also, later in Central America. The adventure in New Guinea paralleled the ventures of renown explorer Michael Rockefeller, son of New York governor, Nelson Rockefeller; however, Michael didn't survive his adventure even though he had commonalities with the author for collecting primitive art artifacts (for his father's museum) and taking movies and taping authentic music. In Guatemala, rebel Argentine and Cuban freedom fighter, Che Guevara, was being hunted. The author happened to show up there also and was a Che look alike with full beard and blue eyes. Furthermore, he left a restaurant and was aaccosted by an armed civilian who chased him around a car. Eventually, el Che lost his life in Bolivia but the author lived on.
