Author Biography

Arthur Bicknell, a native of Ithaca and an alumnus of Ithaca College, has returned home after 40 years of wandering through the deserts of New York City and western Massachusetts. During his time away, he taught English and drama at Homer Central High School, served as editor and feature writer for the trade publication Show Business, was tour director for the National Shakespeare Company, literary director for Abrams Artists and Associates, communications director for LORT theatre StageWest, and spent many years as senior publicist for Merriam-Webster. He is the author of several plays including Masterpieces and My Great Dead Sister, and is the co-founding literary manager and resident playwright for the Homecoming Players in Ithaca.
