When a British woman, recently landed in Barcelona, meets an elderly Catalan lady, they seem to not have much more in common than a fondness for old films and foot rubs. A lot of the time, they don't fully understand what the other is talking about. But, when Pepita is taken ill, time slows down and the two have a chance to get to know each other in strange new ways - through shared jokes, misunderstandings, storytelling and some surreal poetic encounters, and what started as a little seed becomes something that surprises both of them and bears witness to a Barcelona of years gone by.
