by Marion Bartlett (Author)
Marion gave 40 years of her life to work as a surgeon and physician mostly in church hospitals for the Anglican mission society, USPG, in Tanganyika, now Tanzania. She shares some of her experiences in practising surgery and developing her skills, and maintaining high standards of hygiene, helping to build hospitals, and develop the work in cooperation with other churches and with government. She also tells of her marriage in 1966 to a USPG priest, David Bartlett, when Trevor Huddleston was Bishop of Masasi. Eight years after he died, she moved to the College of St Barnabas where she now lives.
