Rabbi "Shy" Zeldin was a visionary and an inspiring leader. A dynamic speaker, Zeldin was an advocate for social justice, Jewish education, and Zionism. He was an extraordinary fundraiser and organizer. With such skills, he created Stephen S. Wise Temple, the largest synagogue west of the Mississippi. His rabbinic career spanned two-thirds of the twentieth century, embodying the growth and development of liberal Judaism in the United States. Author Biography
Paul J. Citrin teaches Jewish history, literature, and theology in synagogues and community centers. He is the author of I Am My Prayer (Resource, 2021) and Isaac Unbound (Resource, 2023). He has served congregations on both coasts and in New Mexico. He has been involved with interfaith dialogue and issues of social justice. He lives in Albuquerque with his wife, Susan Morrison Citrin.
