The Promise of the Dawn: 50 years of Community Living
Stories from the Abode of the Message
--In the promise of the dawn, in the breaking of the morn, in the smiles of the rose,
Beloved, I see Thy joy at my homecoming.-- Hazrat Inayat Khan
We wholeheartedly invite you to join us in celebrating The Abode of the Message! The Promise of the Dawn, this fiftieth anniversary commemorative volume, is an expression of the vision of a spiritual community, a jewel in the beautiful Berkshire hills.
The Promise of the Dawn offers you an up close and personal experience of life in a spiritual residential community and retreat center that is rooted in shared core values that support inner growth, healthy living, and cooperation.
Read and see in their own words, what this odyssey was like, from the perspective of half a century. Join a group of young, brave, and adventurous souls as their hearts opened to an inspiration and enthusiastically devoted themselves to manifesting the calling. The values of the Abode are rooted in the interfaith Sufi tradition of Hazrat Inayat Khan, who brought us the message of the Unity of Religious Ideals, Love, Harmony, and Beauty.
Share in celebrating and revisioning, the rebirth of the Abode, moving forward toward the next fifty years.
"There is one Religion, the unswerving progress in the right direction
towards the ideal, which fulfills the life's purpose of every soul". Hazrat Inayat Khan
