This is a pictorial book filled with beautiful photographs of underwater creatures, from very small critter such as pygmy sea horse, to the largest fish of the ocean, whale shark. It tells a fictional story of a crown fish, named Ahmo, venturing out of his safe home and meets various characters. Ahmo is a common nickname in China, usually given to an energetic, curious and occasionally mischievous boy. Each character that he encountered, is beautifully illustrated with photograph and some of its biology is introduced. Some of the characters are uncommon and are extra-ordinary find. Some of the characters are common but with uncommon and interesting biology. Some concepts of marine biology, such as symbiosis, food chain and fish schooling are introduced with a simple story.
It is an educational book via story telling. It covers various marine lives and underwater eco-systems, as well as the impact of climate changes and human activities. It is suitable for primary and middle schooler(age 8-12). With its beautiful underwater photographs, it is also fitted well as a coffee table book, a children gift, or library book for middle/primary school.
