Their Journey to the PhD Volume 2: My Sisters Stories of Becoming Scholar Practitioners - Paperback
Details
by Amina Abdullah-Winstead (Author)
This is the next book in a series of stories from six different members of the PhD Sisters Support Group who earned their PhD, EdD, DBA, or other doctoral degree. These women discuss their journey as they worked to earn a terminal degree. They discuss a variety of topics such as balancing work, home, and family as well as the challenges that they faced while completing their program. When reading these stories, you will experience the common themes of commitment and pursuit as the women reminisce about the focus and energy that they put fourth while earning their doctoral degree. Similar to the first book, Volume 2 is designed to provoke thought about the importance of pursuing an education and to inspire young women to continue their education regardless of the challenges that they may face in their everyday lives. As you read these stories, we hope that you discover why education matters.
