Giorgione (Giorgio Barbarelli or Giorgio del Castelfranco, 1475-1510) is one of the great Italian Renaissance artists. Based in Venice, Giorgione's pupils included Titian (Giorgione himself was taught by Giovanni Bellini. Some of Giorgione's works were completed by Titian). Giorgione's art includes Madonnas, a Judith, Three Philosophers, portraits, nudes (Sleeping Venus), and a portrait of a young woman known as 'Laura'.
