Golden Years, Golden Hours is Paul Vang's second book, following Sweeter than Candy: a Hunter's Journal, writing about his passion for the outdoors, especially fly-fishing, upland bird hunting, and Labrador retrievers.

In this new book, the author takes the reader through the seasons of the year, some of the many places where he has cast a fly or lure for trout, salmon, bass and muskies, and some of the people he's met along the way. He also shares his treasured memories of many hunting outings with a beloved Labrador retriever and the inevitable sorrow of saying farewell.

The author also muses on the process of aging, relishing that he's able to continue an active outdoor lifestyle, while also recognizing, without being maudlin about it, that he has a lot more seasons behind him than ahead of him, even if he doesn't think he's ready to be a Senior Citizen.
