Herman a shy, sweet, kind of goofy, happy-go-lucky Giraffe becomes an orphan at a young age and because of this tragic event, he loses love for himself and everything around him. He decides to escape from the pain and retreat into the thick of the forest creating a world of darkness for himself. However, a reoccurring dream takes hold each night and becomes his therapy, untangling the entangled thoughts whizzing around on the roller-coaster in his head. In time, he returns to the place where it all began, reuniting with a band of riddle talking, intuitively comical, funny characters, that try to help in their own confusing quirky way, to sort out the mess in his mind or was it the mess in their minds - anyway they all become a part of the mess?
