Because I worked years as a correctional officer, I got a unique opportunity to see into the lives of those behind bars, and to look thru the window of some heartaches that brought them there. 'Pick Me Up' was designed with inmates in mind. Nine poems that touch the heart, encourage the soul and uplift your spirit. Not just for inmates, as we can all be enslaved by one vice or another. Prisoners of our own hearts and minds and bodies. A real booklet, touching real lives. I'm a believer in Jesus Christ. I have attended Dean Junior College, CVCC, Shaw University, University of Maryland, University SC, and others. I hold no degree. My life's experiences include nurse's aide, a draftsman, served seven years in the military. Worked as a correction's officer, and recently retired with over thirty years with the Postal Service. I am currently enrolled in the schooling of The Holy Ghost. My job is to spread light, encouragement, and love, and remind others that Jesus still cares...Stay tuned...
