Marcos is a young man growing up in a small town in Scotland. He meets an old family friend who turns out to be a Taoist sage and takes up the practices of Tai Chi and Meditation. At the same time, his penchant for weird experiences lead him into strange worlds of sorcery where he encounters spirits and demons vying for his soul. A cataclysmic episode on the streets of Edinburgh lead to a psychotic breakdown and hospitalisation. He emerges from the episode, a fascinated psychonaut and practitioner on a Quest for the Spirit.

Mark Anthony is a writer, artist and independent scholar of esoteric subjects, including eastern philosophy, Buddhism, Taoism, and Toltec shamanism. He resides in North East England.
