With this book, The Life and Times of Rev. Dr. Preston Blackmon, I wanted to pay my respects to him and give him the honor that he deserves. I knew his life had to be told to his grandchildren and his great-grandchildren. I want my nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews, who were born after he died, to learn about and remember his life, his love, and his legacy. I also want them to know what a fantastic role model and mentor their granddaddy was. I want generations to come to know he was a man with a mission and a message that came from his lion-heart.

Dad left a legacy for my mom, my siblings, and me. I want my mom to be extremely proud of who he was and what he represented. I want my siblings to know with greater respect that we had an awesome dad! A Humanitarian. A Renaissance man.
